Electrical Designer, Junior to Senior – Vehicle Multiplexing, Winnipeg Hybrid | New Flyer
Develop and support updated vehicle multiplexing architecture for engineering, manufacturing, and field service teams. Produce system designs, technical documentation, training materials, and customer-facing presentations for heavy-duty vehicles.
Tavsif
- Guide engineering, manufacturing, field service, and other teams through the transition to updated vehicle multiplexing architecture
- Help develop the new multiplexing architecture and build subject matter expertise
- Support engineering teams working on multiplexing programs, electrical schematics, and related designs
- Train and assist manufacturing personnel adapting vehicles to the new multiplexing architecture
- Support Field Service during the architecture transition
- Prepare documentation for engineering, manufacturing, and field service teams
- Develop customer-facing documentation and presentations when required
Talablar
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering technology, engineering technology, or an equivalent discipline
- Related industry or technology experience of 1–3 years for Junior, 3–5 years for Intermediate, or 5+ years for Senior
- Preferred experience with multiplexing systems for heavy-duty on-road and off-highway vehicles, electrical integration systems, and CAN bus networks such as SAE J1939
- Project management experience is considered an asset
- Familiarity with IEC 61131-3 programming languages, including ladder diagram and function block diagram, is an asset
- Willingness to travel to the United States for less than 30% of the role
