Build Airbnb’s analytics infrastructure, including Apache Superset, notebooks, and AI-powered data tools. Connect analytics products to Airbnb’s data platform and contribute to the open-source ecosystem.
Tavsif
- Develop tools that help data practitioners explore and analyze data efficiently.
- Advance Apache Superset through open-source work, engagement with internal users, and code contributions.
- Connect data products with Airbnb’s platform, including metrics, data management, and warehouse infrastructure.
- Keep data tools stable, reliable, and technically sound.
- Develop features for Superset, AI for Data Chat, Notebooks, and data platform integrations.
- Work with the Apache Superset community and contribute to the project.
- Prepare, test, and release official Superset open-source versions for internal Airbnb use.
- Partner with data platform teams to deliver integrations.
- Gather user feedback, manage feature launches and migrations, and lead projects from start to finish.
- Strengthen testing and observability, review code and designs, and identify quality and architecture improvements.
- Provide light on-call support.
Talablar
- At least five years of relevant full-time industry experience.
- Expertise building backend services in Python.
- Expertise in frontend development with HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and JavaScript; experience with modern frameworks such as React is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with data, SQL, data engineering, or big data technologies such as Airflow, Spark, or Trino is a plus.
- Experience developing internal applications, data infrastructure, or analytics engineering is a plus.
- Commitment to high-quality code and robust systems, including observability and reliability.
- Ability to lead cross-functional projects or migrations through partner and user alignment, collaboration, and rollout.
- Interest in creating interactive user experiences and engaging with users.
