Opis

  • Design transmission lines in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE for wood, steel, and concrete structures.
  • Prepare project drawings and documents, including plan and profile sheets, bills of materials, assembly details, and foundation details.
  • Apply RRC, client, and industry standards to carry out project work independently, with guidance and oversight from senior engineers.
  • Verify that designs meet project specifications, design requirements, and company quality standards.
  • Help develop, improve, and implement internal design procedures and standards.
  • Train and mentor designers and technicians, sharing technical expertise.
  • Visit project sites occasionally.

Zahteve

  • Associate degree, technical school degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • At least five years of experience in transmission line engineering design.
  • Candidates with less experience may be considered when their background and interpersonal strengths fit the role’s requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
  • Proficiency with PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE for wood, steel, and concrete structures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of design codes, standards, and guidelines such as NESC, RUS, and ASCE 7, as well as material procurement and construction work packages.
  • Authorization to work full-time in the United States.
  • Ability to lead designers and technicians while collaborating closely with engineering staff.
  • Ability to perform foundation design using FAD Tools and/or LPile.
  • Experience with transmission lines rated 345 kV or higher.
  • Experience designing underground medium- to extra-high-voltage lines.
  • Proficiency in PLS-CADD.
