Opis

  • Lead performance tuning and diagnostics for MySQL, AWS Aurora MySQL, and SQL Server databases.
  • Inspect execution plans, indexing, and memory use to resolve bottlenecks and improve response times.
  • Refactor and tune stored procedures, views, triggers, and inline queries.
  • Migrate schemas, data, and database objects to AWS Aurora MySQL and AWS RDS for SQL Server.
  • Apply native database tools and AWS migration services, including DMS and SCT.
  • Review queries before deployment and uphold MySQL and Aurora indexing practices.
  • Coach developers and engineering teams in query tuning.
  • Operate AWS Aurora MySQL and AWS RDS for SQL Server instances.
  • Configure parameter groups, tune the InnoDB buffer pool, maintain indexes, and check backups.
  • Turn business needs into relational data models and data transformation logic.

Zahteve

  • At least five years of hands-on database administration experience, with primary expertise in MySQL and secondary expertise in SQL Server.
  • At least five years focused on query tuning, index optimization, and execution plan analysis, especially for MySQL and Aurora.
  • Hands-on experience analyzing and refactoring complex SQL, including stored procedures, functions, and transactional logic.
  • At least three years managing or migrating database workloads on AWS Aurora MySQL and AWS RDS for SQL Server.
  • At least three years of experience in relational data modeling, schema conversion, and database architecture.
  • Deep knowledge of MySQL and Aurora query tuning, engine internals, and index design.
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server.
  • Experience analyzing execution plans with EXPLAIN and Query Store.
  • Strong understanding of relational schema design, indexing, and locking and concurrency behavior.
  • Preferred: Practical experience with AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) or AWS Schema Conversion Tool (SCT).
  • Preferred: Experience supporting OLTP and analytical or data warehousing workloads.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Flyway, Liquibase, or Yuniql.
  • Preferred: Experience with PowerShell or Bash scripting.
