Opis

  • Set product strategy for SAS capabilities supporting high-performance data processing and model execution
  • Guide technology direction for faster data access, transformation, and analytics execution across hybrid and cloud-native environments
  • Manage the SAS SpeedyStore and SAS Data Accelerator products
  • Set integration strategy for open file formats, including Parquet and Iceberg
  • Support remote connectivity to AWS S3, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Google Cloud Storage
  • Partner with software engineering to define the platform product vision
  • Write detailed requirements for a scalable and durable product roadmap
  • Direct interoperability strategy across modern data platforms, lakehouse technologies, cloud storage, and open-table formats
  • Maintain product roadmaps, priorities, and OKRs
  • Keep stakeholders informed about product risks, decisions, and roadmap changes
  • Prioritize product requirements using input from customers, stakeholders, prospects, and market research
  • Lead discovery efforts and convert findings into product strategy
  • Coordinate Engineering, Design, UX, Program Management, and related teams around customer and business outcomes
  • Establish success metrics and lead post-launch performance analysis
  • Build business cases and investment recommendations from customer, market, financial, and product-health data
  • Contribute to pricing, positioning, collateral, launch preparation, support readiness, and knowledge transfer
  • Represent the product with customers and prospects
  • Make product lifecycle management decisions
  • Monitor emerging technologies, business risks, and market opportunities

Zahteve

  • At least five years of product management or software engineering experience in data management, decision management, or AI and analytics
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, ideally in data science, computer science, or another quantitative field
  • A comparable combination of relevant education, training, and experience may substitute for these qualifications
  • Practical knowledge of modern data management
  • Experience with cloud databases such as SingleStore, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, and Azure Synapse
  • Familiarity with Spark-based platforms such as Databricks
  • Experience with one or more open-source runtimes, packages, or libraries, including Python
  • Understanding of SaaS and/or PaaS business models
  • Familiarity with cloud provider technologies
  • Ability to explain complex technical and business concepts to varied audiences
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and sound judgment
  • Ability to collaborate globally across multiple business units
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions and compelling user experiences
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States or Scotland
  • Must not need current or future employment visa sponsorship
