Senior Software Engineering Manager, Java and Python — Allstate Remote
Lead Java and Python engineering for Allstate’s legal technology ecosystem. Build cloud-native integrations and generative AI capabilities that support legal operations.
Descriere
- Own the architecture, delivery, integration, and support of legal technology products and platforms
- Build and maintain cloud-native applications, APIs, integrations, and event-driven services
- Stay hands-on with coding, reviews, architecture, troubleshooting, and production support
- Connect vendor legal applications with enterprise systems through integrated orchestration
- Guide technical choices across cloud platforms, modernization, data management, integration patterns, and AI services
- Account for reliability, security, performance, and operational excellence, including incident response and root-cause analysis
- Collaborate with product leaders, business stakeholders, Legal, Compliance, Security, and Technology teams
- Create AI-enabled solutions with generative AI, LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, and intelligent automation
- Lead trials, innovation efforts, and adoption of emerging AI and legal technology solutions
- Oversee vendor partnerships, upgrades, integrations, and platform lifecycle management
- Establish operational KPIs, service-level objectives, and engineering measures
- Manage, develop, and mentor an engineering team
- Influence stakeholders and engineers to apply modern engineering and AI practices
Cerințe
- At least 7 years of experience preferred
- Hands-on expertise with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures
- Proficiency in Python for automation and platform engineering
- Experience designing and supporting highly available production systems with responsibility for reliability, security, and performance
- Strong background in enterprise integrations, API management, workflow orchestration, SaaS platforms, and messaging technologies such as Kafka
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, Kubernetes, and cloud-native data services
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
- Experience creating or integrating AI solutions with Azure OpenAI, LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, or related technologies
- Familiarity with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or comparable AI orchestration frameworks
- Experience in Agile environments and direct collaboration with business stakeholders
- Experience in Legal Technology, Compliance, Risk Management, RegTech, or related fields
- Experience with legal research, document intelligence, contract lifecycle management, eDiscovery, or knowledge management solutions
- Experience managing technology vendor and SaaS provider relationships
- Experience leading cloud modernization, integration, or AI transformation programs
- Employment in this role requires completion of a background investigation
