Senior Project Engineer / Lead Engineer, Electrical HV Systems

Lead high-voltage electrical engineering for ABB industrial projects spanning 66–400 kV systems. The role covers design, technical coordination, testing, and commissioning support.

Descriere

  • Lead engineering activities for 66–400 kV high-voltage system assignments.
  • Deliver engineering disciplines efficiently and cost-effectively in line with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies.
  • Complete basic and detailed engineering and develop optimized HV electrical solutions for offshore wind farms, onshore power-from-shore, and BESS projects.
  • Produce key single-line diagrams, protection diagrams, equipment arrangement plans, and sectional drawings.
  • Carry out equipment, earthing, cable, cable tray, lighting, and lightning protection calculations.
  • Develop equipment, cabling, earthing, lighting, and lightning protection layouts.
  • Prepare equipment datasheets, specifications, and technical bid evaluations, and review and approve HV equipment manufacturer documentation.
  • Compile equipment bills of materials, cable schedules, interconnection diagrams, and termination schedules.
  • Coordinate interface engineering with substation automation and SCADA systems.
  • Work with civil, structural, supply chain, commercial, project management, manufacturing, testing, and site execution teams.
  • Estimate engineering, testing, and commissioning effort.
  • Create engineering schedules aligned with document deliverables and project timelines.
  • Travel to customer and vendor sites to support engineering, manufacturing, and factory acceptance testing.

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
  • Ten to fifteen years of relevant project engineering experience.
  • Experience serving as Project Engineer on at least four to six large HV system projects.
  • Onshore or offshore substation experience is preferred.
  • One to two years of site execution experience is preferred.
  • Pre-bid engineering and bid and proposal experience is an advantage.
  • Proficiency with design tools for relay selection, equipment sizing, earthing, and lighting calculations.
  • Basic knowledge of power system studies and network modeling is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of communication architecture, IEC 61850, and relay selection involving ABB, Hitachi, GE, or SEL equipment is preferred.
  • Understanding of international standards and statutory requirements, including IEEE, IEC, and ANSI.
