Senior Java Developer, Assistant Vice President – FX Risk Platforms

Descriere

  • Help define and deliver new or updated application systems and programs.
  • Assess feasibility, estimate time and cost, and contribute to IT planning, risk technology, application development, and model development.
  • Oversee application work from analysis and design through build, testing, and deployment.
  • Support business users with application and operational needs.
  • Investigate complex business and system issues and assess relevant industry standards.
  • Recommend and develop security improvements through post-deployment analysis.
  • Work with users, clients, and technology teams to propose advanced programming solutions.
  • Contribute to modernization of Citi’s foreign-exchange trade processing platform.
  • Build and connect trade-feed, reconciliation, and control components for migration to a strategic risk platform.
  • Help teams adopt internal and external cloud services.
  • Strengthen automated testing, environment management, and regression test cycles.
  • Automate established legacy technology and support migration to strategic platforms.
  • Promote sound engineering practices across the FX developer community and mentor junior colleagues and analysts.
  • Keep application designs aligned with the overall architecture blueprint.
  • Establish standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
  • Examine complex processes and devise practical solutions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and advise senior stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Identify, manage, and report control issues clearly.

Cerințe

  • 5–8 years of relevant experience; at least 8 years is required.
  • Background in systems analysis and software application programming.
  • Experience leading and delivering successful projects.
  • Working knowledge of consulting and project management methods.
  • Strong core Java skills.
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Security, and OAuth.
  • Thorough understanding of clean code practices and test-driven development.
  • Experience with Gradle and Maven.
  • Strong Linux or Unix skills.
  • Experience with Jenkins or TeamCity.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Grafana and OpenTelemetry.
  • Hands-on experience with generative AI.
  • Apache Kafka, OpenShift, and Docker knowledge is an advantage.
  • Experience with modern scaling or orchestration frameworks such as Conductor or Temporal is a plus.
  • Able to work under pressure and handle deadlines and unexpected changes.
  • Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Able to assess risk and comply with applicable laws, regulations, rules, and policies.
  • Able to work with limited direct supervision and use independent judgment.
