Descriere

  • Design and run AWS infrastructure, including networking, compute, storage, IAM, and hybrid connections to on-premises, private, and air-gapped networks.
  • Deploy and operate production Kubernetes clusters on EKS, Rancher (RKE2), and/or Red Hat OpenShift 4.
  • Manage Kubernetes upgrades, capacity planning, networking, storage, and ongoing operations.
  • Own Argo CD GitOps workflows for declarative cluster and application state, app-of-apps patterns, sync policies, drift detection, and progressive rollouts.
  • Create, version, and maintain Helm charts across environments.
  • Enable repeatable deployments in disconnected environments with Zarf or equivalent packaging and mirroring tools.
  • Define infrastructure and platform configuration with Terraform, Helm, and Kustomize.
  • Develop and secure CI/CD pipelines from development through restricted production and business continuity targets.
  • Integrate certificate and secrets management, container registries, storage, and observability as reusable platform components.
  • Set standards for monitoring, alerting, logging, runbooks, incident response, and capacity and cost management.
  • Report to the Infrastructure Manager.
  • Take on other responsibilities as assigned.

Cerințe

  • At least five years of experience in infrastructure, platform, DevOps, or SRE engineering, including at least three years operating Kubernetes in production.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience (four years).
  • Hands-on AWS experience across networking, compute, storage, and IAM, including hybrid and on-premises connectivity.
  • Production experience with one or more enterprise Kubernetes distributions: Amazon EKS, Rancher/RKE2, or OpenShift 4.
  • Demonstrated experience using Argo CD or Flux as the primary GitOps deployment method.
  • Proficiency creating and maintaining Helm charts, with a solid understanding of Kubernetes workloads, networking, RBAC, storage, CRDs, and operators.
  • Experience deploying and managing workloads through Kubernetes operators and CRDs, including OLM/OperatorHub.
  • Strong infrastructure-as-code skills, preferably with Terraform.
  • Linux systems administration and scripting skills, including Bash and Python or Go.
  • Experience using hardened base images with no known CVEs, such as Chainguard, Iron Bank, or distroless/minimal images, and applying supply-chain security practices.
  • Production monitoring and observability experience with Prometheus and Grafana, including exporters, PromQL, alerting, and dashboards.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to work independently through the full lifecycle of a platform component.
  • U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain the U.S. Department of State authorizations required for ITAR compliance.
