Senior Full-Stack Ruby and Ember Engineer

Descriere

  • Build and maintain essential accounting capabilities for a legal technology SaaS platform.
  • Develop secure, high-traffic features with Ruby on Rails and Ember.js.
  • Guide work from solution design and implementation through production deployment and verification.
  • Create unit and integration tests, with unit test coverage required for pull requests.
  • Use AI coding assistants regularly and assess their output for security and quality.
  • Improve performance in busy Rails applications by finding and fixing ActiveRecord bottlenecks.
  • Investigate production problems with logs, traces, and metrics.
  • Review the security of user-submitted data, including CSV uploads.
  • Use CI/CD workflows for automated security scans and schema validation.
  • Support junior engineers through mentorship while sustaining team delivery.

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least five years of professional experience building and maintaining full-stack web applications.
  • At least three years of hands-on experience developing backend services with Ruby on Rails.
  • Experience building interactive frontends with Ember.js or another modern JavaScript framework.
  • Experience managing work from local development through production monitoring.
  • Experience working with financial data, including decimals, rounding, currencies, and idempotent operations.
  • Strong Ruby, Rails, and ActiveRecord performance tuning skills.
  • Practical experience with Ember.js, modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Experience with test-driven development, RSpec, and dependable unit and integration testing for financial workflows.
  • Understanding of CI/CD orchestration, production monitoring, distributed tracing, and log analysis.
  • Experience integrating AI coding assistants into development, with peer review and validation.
  • Advanced written and spoken English.
  • Ability to take technical ownership and work autonomously.
  • Careful attention to detail and a focus on data accuracy and application correctness.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to mentor junior engineers.
  • Experience in legal technology, financial technology, or highly regulated SaaS is preferred.
  • Familiarity with replacing legacy, UI-heavy test suites is preferred.
  • Knowledge of caching, query tuning, and database indexing is preferred.
