Senior Full-Stack Engineer, Node.js — Rakuten Viber Hybrid
Build scalable Node.js and Java microservices for Rakuten Viber’s global messaging platform. Deliver highly available features and services supporting millions of users and more than 1 billion messages each day.
Descriere
- Design, build, and maintain highly available, high-volume, low-latency applications
- Establish application goals, scope, and functionality
- Align application architecture and design with business objectives
- Evaluate technologies and alternatives, then present recommendations for architectural review
- Partner with Product and Architecture teams on large-scale, mission-critical systems
- Debug, optimize, and tune performance across the technology stack
- Build and operate high-traffic services processing more than 1 billion messages daily
- Deliver features, improve performance, protect data, and resolve technical challenges in Node.js and Java microservices
Cerințe
- At least 7 years of experience developing full-stack applications
- At least 4 years of professional Node.js experience
- Strong command of JavaScript and TypeScript
- Experience with TypeScript-first frameworks such as NestJS, Fastify, or Next.js
- Previous experience developing with Java
- Background building and scaling enterprise production systems in a microservices architecture
- Working knowledge of a major frontend framework, including React or Angular
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience designing and integrating REST APIs, including caching approaches
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD workflows and Docker containers
- Experience creating and running unit and integration tests
- Practical experience applying Agile methods in a fast-paced workplace
- Fluent written and spoken English
- A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or an equivalent relevant qualification is advantageous
