Senior Electrical Engineer – Water and Wastewater (Hybrid, Clifton Park)

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems for sustainable water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The role includes client support, construction services, field inspections, and collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Descriere

  • Deliver technical and design consulting for water, wastewater, and other industrial facility projects
  • Support power distribution, controls, lighting, fire alarms, access control, and communications for the Water Division
  • Contribute to the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities
  • Act as Arcadis's primary client contact for electrical engineering needs
  • Build project management capability by supporting budgets and delivery schedules
  • Define design criteria and complete engineering calculations
  • Prepare one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans, and technical specifications
  • Provide engineering support throughout construction
  • Evaluate equipment submittals and shop drawings
  • Address contractor requests for information
  • Complete field inspections and support construction activities
  • Document design deviations and monitor compliance with safety requirements
  • Coach junior and staff electrical engineers
  • Travel as project responsibilities require

Cerințe

  • Demonstrated consulting experience with water, wastewater, and industrial facilities
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD MEP in 2D and 3D
  • Experience working with Revit
  • Experience using SKM Power Tools
  • Background in short-circuit calculations
  • Experience performing overcurrent coordination
  • Experience conducting arc-flash analysis
  • Experience completing photometric studies
  • Strong working knowledge of National Electrical Code requirements
  • Interest in mentoring junior and staff electrical engineers
  • Strong customer and client service capabilities
  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines while meeting schedule and budget targets
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 10 years of relevant experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
