Senior Software Engineer
Build secure, scalable backend services for Tanium’s Autonomous IT platform. Design and ship products with input from customers and product management.
Descriere
- Build and maintain Tanium’s servers and client in a highly agile development team
- Design, develop, test, and launch new products and supporting services
- Incorporate feedback from product management and customers through iterative development
- Use customer engagement and feedback to ensure products meet user needs from the outset
- Build and maintain platform services
Cerințe
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- At least 7 years of industry experience; 10 or more years preferred
- Advanced C++ knowledge
- Experience designing and building backend services and APIs that are high-performance, secure, scalable, observable, supportable, and maintainable
- Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Experience with cryptographic primitives, TLS, and PKI
- Experience designing and developing HTTP APIs
- Experience with modern software development and automation tools such as Git, GHA, and Jenkins
- Demonstrated experience integrating AI tools into software development, including AI-assisted coding and prompt engineering
- Sound judgment in balancing rapid development with long-term code maintainability and supportability
- Strong written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences
- Commitment to writing automated tests as part of development
- Ability to debug effectively under production pressure
- Knowledge of modern server-side and browser-side software frameworks
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating an excellent user experience
