Senior Data Platform Engineer — ERNI (Hybrid, Philippines)

ERNI is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to modernize Azure data lakes, warehouses, and pipelines for its FPALMS initiative. The role focuses on secure data solutions within a global software development company.

Descriere

  • Build and maintain scalable, secure, cost-efficient data pipelines and Azure data lake or warehouse architectures
  • Implement modern data engineering tools and frameworks, including Databricks and Azure Data Factory
  • Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot data platform performance, reliability, and operational efficiency
  • Work with product delivery teams and business stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver reliable data solutions
  • Create high-level and detailed technical designs for data solutions
  • Follow software development, testing, deployment, and CI/CD automation best practices
  • Develop and maintain secure, unit-tested platform components, data integration services, and related engineering deliverables
  • Contribute to Agile delivery through Scrum and Kanban ceremonies
  • Track emerging data and analytics technologies and recommend continuous improvements
  • Handle other related duties as assigned
  • Report to the Product Delivery Manager and/or designated staff
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, analytics engineers, product delivery teams, and other organizational groups
  • Produce technical designs, secure unit-tested code, and interactive dashboards and data products when required

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, engineering, data science, or a related discipline
  • At least five years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or software engineering, including integrated-systems architecture, design, and development
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Azure services, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and modern data engineering practices
  • Experience building scalable data pipelines and modern data warehouses with Databricks, Python, and PySpark
  • Working knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
  • Experience creating data-integration microservices with TypeScript or Python
  • Experience ingesting data from SharePoint Online, Excel files, and other enterprise sources
  • Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
  • Understanding of SDLC, project management practices, and Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Ability to work effectively with senior executives and stakeholders from varied cultural backgrounds
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
  • Preferred: familiarity with Power BI semantic models, DAX, and REST API integration
  • Preferred: certifications related to secure coding, Scrum, DevOps, Azure, or Databricks
  • Preferred: experience collaborating in teams of five or more people
  • Preferred: exposure to financial systems, projection models, assumptions management, or enterprise reporting modernization
