Senior Data Architect, Data Governance
Lead data governance, lineage, and quality for CI&T’s financial services client. Design trusted data ecosystems that support AI adoption at scale.
Descriere
- Act as the data governance technical authority for a financial markets and asset management client
- Design data lineage, catalog, and quality architectures
- Lead the delivery squad’s technical work
- Define architecture for data lineage and supporting technology components
- Design catalog and metadata architecture with OpenMetadata
- Classify data assets by domain, layer, and criticality, and establish their taxonomy
- Define Governance as Code with DevOps and platform teams
- Build catalog and lineage updates into deployment pipelines
- Guide technical data quality rules and development of the business glossary and metadata
- Evaluate and apply data governance maturity frameworks
- Set standards for using AI agents and language models in code analysis and metadata generation
- Anticipate technical challenges and recommend architectural solutions
- Lead validations with data domain owners
- Help shape the governance roadmap and semantic layer architecture
- Ensure adherence to the client’s data security and access standards
- Mentor and develop the squad’s data engineers
- Represent data architecture in client technical and governance forums
- Work with data, DevOps, and platform teams
Cerințe
- Bring substantial data architecture experience focused on governance, metadata management, and lineage
- Use SQL and Python confidently, with practical PostgreSQL and Snowflake experience
- Have experience with AWS services, including RDS and EC2
- Know Apache Airflow and data pipeline orchestration architectures in depth
- Have used catalog and lineage platforms such as OpenMetadata, DataHub, Collibra, or similar tools
- Have practical experience applying LLMs or AI agents to code analysis, automation, and metadata generation, using tools such as Claude, OpenAI, Bedrock, LiteLLM, or MCP
- Understand data modeling and governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK
- Have a record of leading technical work in squads and mentoring data engineers
- Communicate in English at an advanced level (B2 or higher)
- Communicate clearly with business stakeholders and explain complex technical topics in accessible terms
- Governance as Code experience and experience integrating governance into CI/CD pipelines are desirable
- Financial markets or asset management experience is desirable
- Experience with Astronomer or Airflow migration projects is desirable
- Familiarity with portfolio management systems and financial data platforms is desirable
- Experience with semantic layers, Trino, and Snowflake governance features is desirable
- Cloud, data, or governance certifications are desirable
