Senior Accountant (HGB/IFRS) – Hamburg Hybrid

Manage accounting and HGB/IFRS reporting for two to three software companies in an international group. Support Odoo implementation, process automation, tax matters, and intercompany accounting from a hybrid Hamburg role.

Descriere

  • Manage accounting independently for two to three software companies
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under HGB and IFRS
  • Oversee general ledger, fixed assets, receivables, payables, and account reconciliations
  • Account for software licenses, SaaS, project work, and maintenance and support contracts
  • Prepare VAT advance returns
  • Manage cross-border matters and support annual tax return preparation
  • Reconcile and settle intercompany transactions across the international group
  • Support the implementation of Odoo
  • Automate and enhance accounting processes and system interfaces
  • Collaborate closely with Finance teams and management
  • Serve as the main contact for auditors, tax advisors, banks, and tax inspectors

Cerințe

  • Completed commercial training or a degree in accounting, finance, or taxation
  • Around five years of relevant experience in accounting or financial reporting
  • Strong knowledge of HGB and, preferably, IFRS
  • Experience using accounting software
  • Good command of Excel
  • Interest in digitalization, automation, and new system implementations
  • Fluent German
  • Good English
  • Independent, precise, and hands-on working style
  • Willingness to take ownership and develop existing structures
  • Enjoyment of collaborative work and motivation for professional and career development
  • Certified Accountant (IHK) training is advantageous but not required
  • Experience in a software, IT, or technology company is advantageous
  • Experience overseeing multiple companies or business units simultaneously is advantageous
  • Knowledge of Austrian GAAP (UGB) is advantageous
  • Audit or consulting experience, including in a Big Four environment, is advantageous
