Semi-Senior Frontend Engineer, React/Next.js (Brazil Remote)
Build a headless React and Next.js front end for an independent global news organization. Integrate CMS content and APIs while delivering tested, accessible interfaces.
Descriere
- Develop pages and reusable React/Next.js components for the new front end.
- Translate designs into responsive, accessible user interfaces.
- Integrate components with headless CMS content and backend APIs.
- Create unit and component tests.
- Contribute to code reviews, planning, and estimates.
- Own well-defined features from ticket creation through merged, tested code, while communicating blockers and questions.
- Apply enterprise AI tools and coding assistants to coding, refactoring, testing, and debugging, and critically assess their output.
- Work with the Core Web team to create a new headless front end for an independent global news organization.
- Develop pages and components for the first launch early next year.
Cerințe
- At least three years of front-end engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with React.
- Production experience with Next.js, including shipping at least one Next.js project and understanding SSR, SSG, and basic routing.
- Professional experience using TypeScript.
- Experience consuming REST or GraphQL APIs.
- Ability to create responsive, accessible interfaces from design specifications.
- Experience writing unit and component tests, preferably with Jest and React Testing Library.
- Recent, regular use of AI coding assistants such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or ChatGPT.
- Experience working with headless CMS platforms.
- Experience with integration testing.
- Currently located in Latin America.
