Operations Manager, Fiber Networks

Manage operations across Bulk Infrastructure’s fiber network and telehousing assets, with responsibility for NOC incidents, vendors, customer support, and operational needs for new builds.

Descriere

  • Develop and maintain Bulk’s fiber infrastructure, telehousing facilities, and support systems.
  • Improve maintenance plans, operating procedures, testing regimes, and risk controls for fiber and telehousing assets.
  • Maintain accurate asset data, documentation, and lifecycle records.
  • Specify requirements and manage procurement and vendors for technical and operational equipment and services.
  • Provide direct operational support, including for critical equipment and events.
  • Lead fault incident management with the NOC through resolution.
  • Keep customers informed throughout troubleshooting with clear, proactive communication.
  • Support technical assessments in customer discussions.
  • Deliver customer commitments and commissioning requirements.
  • Include operational needs in engineering reviews, network planning, and new-build projects.
  • Report to the SVP of Fiber Networks as part of the Fiber Networks Team.

Cerințe

  • At least five years of relevant professional experience in telecommunications.
  • Higher education in engineering.
  • Technical knowledge to understand, question, and challenge telecom infrastructure operations.
  • A structured, process-oriented approach to procedures, documentation, and operational discipline.
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fluent Norwegian and English, with excellent communication skills in both.
  • Hands-on experience with fiber infrastructure, transmission technologies, and support systems is preferred.
  • Experience in or close collaboration with a Network Operations Center is preferred.
  • Experience developing maintenance plans, operating procedures, and testing regimes for optical fiber systems and telehousing is preferred.
