Figma Design Systems Specialist - Philippines Remote

Help an Australian digital experience agency scale Figma libraries, design tokens, and governance. Partner with front-end teams on remote client engagements based in the Philippines.

Descriere

  • Review Figma files, libraries, components, and usage patterns.
  • Evaluate design-system quality, scalability, and adoption.
  • Find and consolidate duplicate or inconsistent components.
  • Refine component architecture, naming standards, and library organisation.
  • Expand libraries with reusable components, patterns, and templates.
  • Set up design tokens, Figma variables, governance, contribution, and release workflows.
  • Assist with design-library migration and rationalisation.
  • Connect Figma assets with front-end component frameworks and Storybook when relevant.
  • Create new Figma libraries and design systems from the ground up.
  • Define library structures, information architecture, foundational styles, tokens, and variable collections.
  • Develop scalable components with Auto Layout, variants, properties, and nested components.
  • Create responsive layout systems, templates, sections, and page patterns.
  • Apply accessibility and WCAG requirements to component design.
  • Document design systems and help designers and developers adopt them.
  • Coach designers in advanced Figma and design-system methods.
  • Partner with developers to align design and code.
  • Support estimation, project planning, and pre-sales work.
  • Contribute across multiple client projects and brands.
  • Deliver audits, component libraries, governance frameworks, documentation, adoption roadmaps, and team training.

Cerințe

  • Based in the Philippines.
  • At least five years of experience in UI, UX, or product design.
  • Proven background creating and managing enterprise design systems.
  • Expert proficiency in Figma.
  • Advanced command of components and nested components.
  • Advanced command of variants and component properties.
  • Advanced command of Auto Layout.
  • Advanced command of variables and design tokens.
  • Advanced understanding of responsive component behaviour.
  • Advanced understanding of library publishing and version management.
  • Demonstrated success improving and scaling established design systems.
  • Demonstrated success building design systems and component libraries from scratch.
  • Strong understanding of UI architecture, accessibility, and responsive design.
  • Experience creating documentation, standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Able to work independently across multiple client engagements.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
  • Must disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work.
  • Must identify this engagement on LinkedIn as “Independent Contractor.”
