Provide field service support for EnerSys industrial battery products from the Carrollton service center and customer sites. Maintain, test, repair, and deliver battery equipment in an onsite, full-time role.

Descriere

  • Deliver technical and application support for EnerSys products and services across the assigned area.
  • Follow company warranty, safety, environmental, OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000 requirements.
  • Keep the work area safe, organized, and clean.
  • Manage assigned assets, including the service vehicle, parts inventory, tools, laptop, and test equipment.
  • Complete truck logs in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Work primarily in the service center or shop, with travel to customer locations when needed.
  • Stay in telephone or radio contact with the supervisor regarding pickup and delivery instructions.
  • Update performance reports and complaint logs.
  • Prepare new and used products for shipment.
  • Load and unload trucks and use material-handling equipment as required.
  • Replace faulty components, reassemble batteries, and fill cells with acid solution.
  • Use meters and adjust charging parameters that control battery current flow.
  • Conduct discharge tests, assess the results, and complete required repairs.
  • Schedule customer visits and maintain daily service-cell tracking records.
  • Visit customers regularly to support strong working relationships.
  • Keep tools calibrated by their scheduled due dates.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Cerințe

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Six to twelve months of field service or related experience, preferably in an electrical setting.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Competence with hand and power tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Physical capacity to lift and carry equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Working familiarity with electrical systems and schematics.
  • Ability to meet the company's driving requirements.
  • Ability to distinguish colors.
  • Ability to frequently bend, twist, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (23 kilograms) continuously each day.
  • Ability to remain standing for extended periods.
  • Consistent and proper use of required personal protective equipment.
  • Availability and willingness to participate in on-call coverage.
  • Availability and willingness to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Ability to work in plant or warehouse settings with changing conditions.
  • Ability to work near electrical shock hazards and harmful lead or fiberglass materials; periodic blood testing is required.
