Descriere

  • Design and commission aircraft component test stands to customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Review statements of work and test procedures for units under test.
  • Set equipment performance targets and tolerance criteria.
  • Compare design alternatives and support preliminary plans with clear rationale.
  • Identify program risks and impacts, then prepare and carry out mitigation plans.
  • Develop metering and control systems for signal conditioning, communications, power distribution, and pump and motor control.
  • Choose resources that meet testing needs while controlling costs.
  • Use calculations, simulations, and prototypes to inform design decisions.
  • Lead technical design reviews and share design knowledge.
  • Prepare bills of materials, schematics, assembly drawings, and outline drawings.
  • Assist with procurement and equipment builds.
  • Integrate and test hardware and software, confirming compliance with program and aircraft component specifications.
  • Train colleagues and customers to operate the equipment.
  • Visit customer sites to supervise installation and conduct commissioning tests.
  • Help existing customers troubleshoot issues and advise on repairs or replacements.
  • Write machine control and test-result interpretation code using tools such as Visual Basic, NI LabVIEW, NI TestStand, and PLCs.

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering, computer engineering, physics, or a related field.
  • At least five years of design and integration experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate hardware and software into a reliable, functional automated system.
  • Experience with aircraft component test stands is strongly preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship or a Green Card is required.
  • Must pass additional security screening for work supporting U.S. military programs, including visits to military bases and airframe or component manufacturer sites.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of technical drawings, including electrical and hydraulic schematics, machine and fabrication drawings, assembly and layout drawings, and facility construction drawings.
  • Working knowledge of industry standards, including machine risk assessment, the National Electrical Code, ARINC-668, machinery safety, product safety notifications, and lockout/tagout.
  • Experience with Calibration Measurement Requirements Survey (CMRS), electromagnetic compatibility, GD&T, printed circuit board design, or UL/CSA/CE standards is strongly preferred.
  • Technical proficiency with Windows, office software, Excel, Word, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
  • Able to work independently, develop solutions, involve internal resources, and coordinate feedback with Program Management and Operations.
