Apraksts

  • Improve DRW’s virtualization infrastructure, operating processes, and engineering standards.
  • Automate recurring manual work.
  • Design, deploy, configure, and maintain OpenStack clouds and their components.
  • Resolve complex OpenStack issues across compute, storage, and networking in partnership with other teams.
  • Support users of the platform.
  • Coach engineers in sound practices and investigate service outages.
  • Promote strong operational and technical standards.
  • Address critical production incidents in a fast-paced trading environment while participating in an on-call rotation.
  • Contribute to the design and rollout of a new OpenStack-based virtualization platform.
  • Shape architecture and engineering standards, reduce risk, and maintain performance and cost efficiency.

Prasības

  • Expertise administering OpenStack.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, storage, Linux, and virtualization fundamentals.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Scripting or software development experience in several languages, such as Python, Go, or Bash.
  • Experience maintaining, deploying, and configuring server hardware and deploying virtual machines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and support technical and operational discussions with evidence.
  • Experience setting an example and developing technical and interpersonal skills in teammates.
  • VMware ESXi experience is a plus.
  • Containerization or Kubernetes experience is a plus.
  • Experience administering on-premises infrastructure is a plus.
  • Experience developing, deploying, and supporting full-stack web applications is a plus.
  • Experience using multiple programming languages for both new development and legacy maintenance is a plus.
