  • Maintain and improve standard costing systems for products, services, and projects.
  • Analyze landed costs—including materials, freight, duties, labor, overhead, and production—for capitalization.
  • Assess price and volume variances and recommend practical actions.
  • Track cost trends and work with procurement and operations to find savings and improve processes.
  • Provide product cost data for new launches and pricing decisions.
  • Support FP&A and operations with budgets, forecasts, and strategic planning.
  • Lead cost accounting activities during month-end and year-end close.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for inventory and cost accounts.
  • Reconcile inventory and COGS accounts, investigating variances, discrepancies, and unusual transactions.
  • Review inventory movements and track obsolete, slow-moving, and excess stock risks.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, inventory valuation and capitalization rules, and cost-flow assumptions.
  • Prepare cost reports and margin analyses to inform business decisions.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Keep cost data accurate and reliable for financial statements.
  • Coordinate inventory and warehouse management system integrations between business and IT teams.
  • Work with stakeholders to resolve inventory discrepancies, integration issues, and process gaps between NetSuite and the WMS.
  • Compile and analyze cost data for procurement, supply chain, operations, and sales teams.
  • Support ERP improvements, cost-module configuration, and data integrity initiatives.
  • Report to the Assistant Controller.

Prasības

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5–8 years of progressive cost accounting experience, preferably in a product-based business.
  • Experience with standard and average costing systems and inventory accounting.
  • Exposure to multi-site or global operations is a plus.
  • Exposure to a foreign-trade-zone or bonded warehouse is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities under pressure while maintaining high standards.
  • Successful completion of a background and credit check.
