Maintain and renovate AXIS rental properties, primarily in Grinnell, with support across nearby Iowa markets. Handle repairs, inspections, work orders, and emergency requests.

Apraksts

  • Complete scheduled maintenance and repairs while providing professional service.
  • Renovate, repair, and maintain rental units.
  • Handle painting, flooring, fixture installation, minor carpentry, HVAC maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and appliance replacement.
  • Document completed work and update work orders in AppFolio.
  • Submit receipts promptly.
  • Record hours on work orders.
  • Report issues, parts needs, and follow-ups to Coordinators and the Office.
  • Inspect properties routinely and recommend preventive maintenance and equipment improvements.
  • Follow safe work practices to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies, including after-hours requests.
  • Work primarily at Grinnell properties, while supporting maintenance in Des Moines, Boone, and/or Newton.

Prasības

  • Bring proven renovation, repair, and maintenance experience, preferably in rental properties or a similar setting.
  • Demonstrate trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting.
  • Solve problems effectively and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Communicate well and interact professionally with tenants, property managers, and colleagues.
  • Commit to safety and follow industry regulations and best practices.
  • Be available for occasional evening, weekend, or on-call shifts for urgent maintenance needs.
  • Have the stamina and agility for lifting heavy objects, working at heights, and navigating confined spaces.
  • Be willing to travel.
