Lift and Crane Engineer Surveyor – Allianz, UK Remote

Conduct statutory inspections of lifts, cranes, lifting equipment and related plant for Allianz Engineering Inspection Services. Help industrial, commercial and construction customers maintain safe, legally compliant operations across the UK.

Apraksts

  • Perform statutory inspections of lifts, cranes, lifting equipment, materials-handling equipment and related plant
  • Assess equipment at industrial, commercial and construction customer sites
  • Provide engineering advice that supports safe, legally compliant operations
  • Work independently across an assigned geographical area
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Plan and manage an individual inspection schedule
  • Collaborate with experienced Engineer Surveyors and Team Leaders
  • Take part in technical development, induction and training
  • Complete practical inspections in varied operational settings, including work at height

Prasības

  • Level 3 or higher qualification in a mechanical engineering-related discipline
  • Practical engineering experience with lifts, cranes, materials-handling systems, lifting equipment or comparable mechanical plant
  • Background in maintenance, repair, servicing, manufacturing, installation, testing or inspection
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Confidence using tablets, smartphones and digital reporting systems
  • Commitment to engineering excellence, safety and quality
  • Customer-oriented approach with the ability to build professional relationships
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise a varied workload
  • Practical approach to problem-solving and sound decision-making
  • Ability to explain technical information clearly in speech and writing
  • Organised, self-motivated and adaptable when working in the field
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and inspect equipment in varied environments
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Previous Engineer Surveyor experience is desirable
  • Knowledge of LOLER, PUWER and related lifting-equipment legislation, regulations and industry standards is desirable
  • Experience with statutory inspections, thorough examinations or compliance assessments is desirable
  • Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status or progress toward professional registration is desirable
  • Experience with lifting equipment, cranes, materials-handling equipment or industrial plant is desirable
  • Understanding of lifting operations, crane systems, passenger and goods lifts, hoists or construction plant is desirable
  • Responsible use of artificial intelligence is desirable
