  • Secure about 90 endpoints across three locations and remote staff.
  • Manage and strengthen perimeter security with OPNsense, Tailscale, and JumpCloud.
  • Apply required MFA, BitLocker encryption, and automated patching.
  • Review Wazuh SIEM alerts and maintain cyber insurance compliance.
  • Confirm automated, immutable server backups sync to AWS S3 with Object Lock and are protected against ransomware.
  • Back up operations for internal Linux and DevOps repositories running Linux SVN on Ubuntu LTS.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of company laptops, desktops, and edge devices.
  • Purchase, deploy, and retire computer hardware.
  • Keep asset records accurate in AssetTiger.
  • Manage IT onboarding and offboarding, account setup, and hardware preparation.
  • Review software licenses and SaaS subscriptions to identify redundant costs.
  • Assess and test commercial software, and support its adoption across divisions.
  • Train staff in cybersecurity practices and efficient software use.
  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for Windows 11, ChromeOS Flex, network printers, and cloud VoIP phones.

Prasības

  • Bring 3–5 years of hands-on experience in systems administration, IT security, or IT operations, managing a multi-site network of 50–150 endpoints.
  • Have strong command-line skills with Linux (Ubuntu LTS), file permissions, systemd, Bash or Python scripting, and core security practices such as firewall rules, log analysis, and threat mitigation.
  • Know cloud identity platforms such as Google Workspace or JumpCloud, stateful firewalls such as OPNsense or pfSense, mesh VPNs such as Tailscale or WireGuard, and cloud storage tools such as rclone or the AWS S3 CLI.
  • Demonstrate experience with hardware purchasing, asset tracking, and vendor sourcing.
  • Hold a valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence and have access to a personal vehicle for occasional travel between local facilities.
