Embedded Engineer, Vehicle Systems

Develop and integrate vehicle functions for WeQuel’s automotive and defence clients, from prototypes through production. The role includes embedded software, testing and system integration.

Apraksts

  • Develop and integrate systems for defence and civilian vehicles.
  • Create concepts and prototypes.
  • Integrate systems across multiple parts of a vehicle.
  • Develop embedded software.
  • Test, troubleshoot and verify vehicle functions.
  • Plan rapid adaptations to existing systems.
  • Bring solutions from initial concepts or prototypes to production-ready implementation.
  • Investigate existing systems in technical depth.
  • Administer system change requests.
  • Work across the development chain, from customer needs and requirements through function and system development to software impact and implementation.
  • Carry out rig-based development and testing as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with other parts of the client’s organization.
  • Manage varied projects in parallel using short development cycles.
  • Work primarily in the office, with rig-based development and testing as support.

Prasības

  • Experience in embedded software or systems development.
  • Experience with vehicle functions, electronics or systems integration.
  • Experience with CAN communication.
  • Master’s degree in mechatronics, physics, computer science or a related field.
  • Good English skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams.
  • Practical approach to development and problem-solving.
  • Interest in building broad knowledge of vehicles and systems.
  • Curiosity, pragmatism and willingness to learn.
  • Comfort working across different technical areas.
  • Ability to investigate problems and take responsibility for finding a path forward.
  • Technical curiosity and a sense of ownership.
  • Practical engineering mindset and interest in seeing solutions built into vehicles and test rigs.
  • Familiarity with the client’s processes and systems is an advantage.
  • Vehicle architecture experience is an advantage.
  • Diagnostics experience is an advantage.
  • Electrification experience is an advantage.
  • Candidates whose background is exclusively in web-based software development are not the target profile.
