Senior Epic Reporting Business Analyst

Develop clinical, financial, and operational analytics for Northeast Georgia Health System using Epic reporting tools. Build Reporting Workbench reports, Radar dashboards, RW SQL solutions, and Qlik Sense analytics.

  • Evaluate analytics needs and recommend suitable reporting solutions.
  • Build real-time and near-real-time Epic production database reports with Reporting Workbench.
  • Create custom metrics and RW SQL reports.
  • Develop operational dashboards in Radar.
  • Produce standard and custom reports, dashboards, and views across clinical, financial, and operational data.
  • Define report requirements and specifications with operational stakeholders and application analysts.
  • Develop and validate analytics, troubleshoot issues, and manage them through resolution and closure.
  • Act as the primary reporting contact for assigned operational areas.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand data and reporting needs and identify suitable solutions.
  • Check reports, dashboards, and analytics for accuracy and practical operational value.
  • Maintain technical documentation and specifications.
  • Train and support users of self-service reporting tools, including Slicer Dicer, Universes, Cubes, and Qlik Sense.
  • Coordinate with Epic application teams on report and dashboard access, roles, and security templates.
  • Track incoming requests and meet service-level agreements.
  • Respond to staff and client questions by phone, email, and in person.
  • Provide scheduled after-hours on-call coverage.
  • Guide junior colleagues on technical and functional work.
  • Set, document, and uphold reporting standards and practices through code reviews.
  • Set priorities for requests, enhancements, and projects with the manager.
  • Retire legacy Crystal Reports and migrate reporting to RW SQL and Qlik technologies.
  • Stay current with Epic updates and help transition to new tools and technologies.
  • Lead request intake and help coordinate team priorities.
  • Work with the Technical Training team on training and documentation materials.

  • Caboodle Data Model certification.
  • One of the two clinical/access data model certifications or accreditations.
  • Obtain required certifications within 12 months of hire.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 10 years of progressively responsible, job-specific professional experience plus an equivalent combination of education and training.
  • At least six years of experience with business intelligence and analytics reporting applications.
  • At least two years of experience creating Epic Reporting Workbench reports and Radar dashboards.
  • Production-level support or development experience in business intelligence environments.
  • Strong SQL skills, including complex queries on high-volume datasets.
  • Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and enterprise data management practices.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, presentation, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding of the reporting lifecycle, from requirements definition through development and testing.
  • Knowledge of healthcare, hospital, and ambulatory terminology and business practices.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, DNV, and MIPS regulations.
  • Experience gathering user requirements, defining data specifications, designing solutions, and modifying existing work.
  • Knowledge of clinical documentation and orders databases, data conversion models, workflows, master files, category lists, synonyms, and preference lists.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively while managing multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities, including possible evening and weekend work.
  • Ability to lead complex projects from start to finish.
  • Knowledge of Epic reporting and analytics tools, including Reporting Workbench, Radar, Slicer Dicer, Universes, and Cubes.
  • Experience with Qlik Sense.
  • Knowledge of report and dashboard security roles and templates.
  • Must be able to drive.
