Aprašymas

  • Maintain Microsoft SQL Server production environments.
  • Track database health, performance, availability, and capacity.
  • Resolve database issues and assist with production incidents.
  • Tune queries and enhance database performance.
  • Manage backups, recovery, security, permissions, and access.
  • Assist with database deployments, releases, schema changes, and migrations.
  • Review T-SQL, database updates, and migration scripts.
  • Take part in pull request reviews and encourage sound database practices.
  • Partner with developers on database design and performance.
  • Support high availability and disaster recovery processes.
  • Work with DevOps teams to improve deployments and CI/CD.
  • Help develop database monitoring, observability, and automation.
  • Keep documentation, procedures, and runbooks up to date.
  • Improve how databases are operated, monitored, and managed.

Reikalavimai

  • At least three years’ experience in database administration, database engineering, or a similar role.
  • Practical experience with Microsoft SQL Server in production.
  • Strong T-SQL skills.
  • Sound knowledge of performance tuning and database troubleshooting.
  • Experience with backups, recovery, and database security.
  • Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery concepts.
  • Experience supporting database deployments and schema changes.
  • Familiarity with source control, pull requests, and CI/CD.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Clear communication and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred: Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB.
  • Preferred: Experience with AWS or another cloud platform.
  • Preferred: Exposure to Grafana or comparable monitoring tools.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Terraform and infrastructure as code.
  • Preferred: Experience with database automation.
  • Preferred: Experience in a DataOps or DevOps environment.
  • Preferred: Experience working with Development and Architecture teams on database performance and design.
