Clinical Negligence Solicitor or Associate
Handle defendant clinical negligence claims for NHS organisations, healthcare providers and insurers. Advise clients, negotiate claims and manage cases through court proceedings.
Aprašymas
- Manage a varied caseload of defendant clinical negligence claims.
- Represent NHS Resolution, NHS Trusts, the MDU, independent healthcare providers and medical malpractice insurers.
- Draft legal documents for clinical negligence cases.
- Lead in-person negotiations and claim mediations.
- Prepare cases and meet court deadlines.
- Serve as the main day-to-day contact for clients and manage their matters directly.
- Give commercially focused legal advice in line with client protocols and processes.
- Support knowledge sharing, training, client seminars, article writing and business development.
Reikalavimai
- Experience as a solicitor or associate in clinical negligence, personal injury, civil litigation or insurance law.
- Experience with an NHS Resolution or medical defence organisation panel firm is preferred but not essential.
- Strong legal, technical and organisational skills.
- A practical, systematic approach to managing multiple clinical negligence claims in an IT case management system.
- Ability to assess legal issues commercially rather than academically.
- Strong focus on client service.
- Collaborative approach and ability to work well in a team.
- Willingness to mentor, coach and supervise less experienced colleagues.
