Aprašymas

  • Handle routine SQL Server administration and health checks across on-premises and Azure environments with guidance from senior DBAs.
  • Track database availability, capacity, performance, jobs, and alerts; troubleshoot common issues and escalate complex incidents.
  • Assist with backups, restores, recovery checks, database refreshes, and migrations.
  • Help manage user access, permissions, patching, maintenance, and security controls.
  • Apply T-SQL and approved tools to diagnose issues, review queries and indexes, and automate tasks.
  • Keep documentation, runbooks, inventories, and operational records up to date.
  • Work with senior DBAs, developers, infrastructure teams, and security teams.
  • Take part in planned maintenance and an on-call rotation.

Reikalavimai

  • Bring 1–3 years of relevant experience in database or systems administration, or a related technical role; equivalent education and practical training may be considered.
  • Have foundational knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and relational databases.
  • Use T-SQL to write queries and understand stored procedures, execution plans, and indexes.
  • Understand database backups, restores, recovery models, security permissions, and routine maintenance.
  • Have knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Troubleshoot by analyzing logs, alerts, and performance information.
  • Communicate clearly, document work, stay organized, and collaborate effectively.
  • Follow operational procedures, change controls, and security requirements, and handle sensitive financial data responsibly.
  • Be able to travel during the first six months of employment and about 5% annually after that.
  • Already hold valid U.S. work authorization that will not require employer sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Have exposure to Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, or other cloud database services.
  • Be familiar with SQL Server Agent, Availability Groups, Transparent Data Encryption, Redgate SQL Monitor, or Foglight.
  • Have experience with PowerShell, source control, or ticketing and change-management systems.
  • Be aware of SOX and PCI DSS requirements.
  • Microsoft Azure Database Administrator Associate certification, or progress toward a relevant Microsoft certification, is preferred.
