Poison Control Specialist (RN) – Onsite, Part-Time
Advise healthcare professionals and the public on toxic exposures, medications, and treatment guidance as a Poison Control Specialist/RN. Document inquiries and support education for students and residents at UAMS.

- Deliver prompt clinical information and recommendations to healthcare providers and members of the public about toxic or potentially toxic exposures within APDIC’s designated region.
- Answer callers’ questions about medications.
- Provide information and treatment recommendations for toxic or potentially toxic exposures.
- Document inquiries in electronic medical records and keep records current.
- Educate callers about toxic substances and medications.
- Support the education and instruction of professional students and residents.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
Талаптар
- Hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Be able to understand and follow verbal instructions.
- Demonstrate strong reading, writing, and computer skills.
- Emergency department or critical care nursing experience is preferred.
- New RN graduates with previous Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience in emergency or critical care settings may also be considered.
- Submit a curriculum vitae.
- Complete a criminal background check and substance abuse testing.
- Provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
