Business Development Manager – National Security | Leidos UK Hybrid
Lead Leidos’ UK National Security growth strategy through strategic pursuits, customer partnerships and digital transformation opportunities. Manage pipelines, shape propositions and coordinate complex bids across government and industry stakeholders.

- Lead business development initiatives against annual growth and contract-award objectives
- Manage an opportunity pipeline aligned with Leidos’ UK strategy and two-to-five-year growth plans
- Cultivate trusted relationships with Home Office and National Security customers, partners and stakeholders
- Strengthen Leidos’ position as a strategic supplier
- Work with capture, bid, technical and delivery teams to develop differentiated propositions focused on customer outcomes
- Assess and qualify opportunities against Leidos’ capabilities and desired customer and business outcomes
- Direct major new-business campaigns across the UK National Security market
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams by providing pursuit direction, inclusive leadership and clear communication

- Demonstrated success developing and winning digital transformation, technology or professional services opportunities in the Home Office, National Security or a comparable UK Government setting
- Proven ability to establish trusted customer and stakeholder relationships and convert their needs into effective propositions
- Record of achieving sustainable business growth against demanding commercial targets
- Experience managing complex, high-value pursuits and contracts, especially opportunities exceeding £15 million
- Strong understanding of UK Government business development, procurement channels, contract awards and customer purchasing behaviours
- Experience using frameworks and developing follow-on opportunities
- Ability to produce persuasive bids in collaboration with internal teams, customers and partners
- Strong communication, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills adaptable to different audiences
- Ability to prioritise multiple active pursuits and sustain progress in a changing environment
- Inclusive, collaborative leadership style for motivating and supporting multidisciplinary teams
- Security Check (SC) clearance must be obtained before starting
- Developed Vetting (DV) clearance is required for the role
- Background in Business Development, Account Management or Capture within the Home Office, National Security or a similarly complex government environment
- Knowledge of PPPT and HSG
- Knowledge of Immigration and Borders
- Understanding of IT service management, networking, artificial intelligence and cyber technologies
- Experience forming partnerships or consortium arrangements
- Experience developing use cases for digital transformation concept demonstrators
- Understanding of Home Office or National Security digital transformation programmes
