Description

  • Design and support construction work for facility projects.
  • Apply architectural expertise to meet objectives safely, effectively, efficiently, and economically.
  • Prepare bid documents.
  • Oversee projects from start to completion.
  • Plan, design, and deliver facility construction projects.
  • Provide architectural design expertise across the company.
  • Make technical decisions with guidance and contribute to long-range planning.
  • Identify facility design and organizational challenges, resolve them, and initiate solutions.
  • Prepare and present designs with clarity and persuasive detail.
  • Work with AEP, companies, professional organizations, regulatory agencies, and academic institutions.
  • Develop, recommend, and put plans in place to address project issues.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in Architecture from a National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB)-accredited program.
  • Have at least four years of architecture experience.
  • Hold an architecture license in a U.S. state.
  • Have NCARB certification.
  • Be proficient with MicroStation or AutoCAD.
  • Be able to plan, design, and deliver facility construction projects.
  • Be able to prepare bid documents and oversee projects through completion.
  • Be available to travel if required.
  • Be available to work extended hours if required.
  • Meet the role's sedentary physical demand level.
  • A master's degree in Architecture is preferred.
