Walmart Manager, Legal – Corporate Transactions and Subsidiary Governance
Support Walmart’s corporate transactions and subsidiary governance work, including M&A, entity records, legal processes, and strategic projects. This full-time, onsite role coordinates transaction execution and cross-functional legal operations.
Description
- Support corporate transactions and strategic projects, including M&A, joint ventures, investments, warrants, IPO-related work, restructurings, and entity rationalizations
- Coordinate diligence requests, disclosure schedules, closing checklists, signatures, deliverables, post-closing obligations, and closing binders
- Assist with legal entity governance, including board and shareholder actions, officer and director appointments, filings, records, and related documentation
- Maintain subsidiary ownership, governance, approval, consent, resolution, and corporate records
- Develop SOPs, playbooks, trackers, summaries, document repositories, and knowledge-management tools
- Track relevant legal and market developments and help identify workflow and process improvements
- Partner with Legal, Corporate Development, Finance, Tax, Treasury, and Walmart’s global businesses
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field plus one year of experience in legal, claims investigation, or a relevant area, or three years of experience in legal, claims investigation, or a related area
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Able to coordinate multiple workstreams, deadlines, stakeholders, and documents
- Demonstrates ownership, initiative, follow-through, and independence
- Exercises sound judgment, discretion, and appropriate escalation
- Communicates effectively in writing and verbally with lawyers, business partners, outside counsel, and senior stakeholders
- Interested in improving processes and building scalable systems
- Comfortable handling legal documents, governance records, transaction materials, confidential information, technology tools, spreadsheets, trackers, and document-management systems
