  • Own product technology and help define company strategy alongside the CEO
  • Create and execute the technical roadmap from initial validation through scalable product development
  • Make independent decisions about the technology stack, hardware requirements, and scaling approach
  • Validate technical feasibility throughout each stage of development
  • Frame technical challenges, hypotheses, scientific foundations, and measurable points of differentiation
  • Assess quantum-inspired methods, algorithmic differentiation, and patent potential
  • Develop the intellectual property strategy with external partners, including freedom-to-operate and long-term protection
  • Evaluate Technology Readiness Levels and establish realistic development routes
  • Present the scientific strength of the technology to customers, investors, and hardware partners
  • Design and build the initial technical prototype and proof of concept hands-on
  • Establish and oversee testing environments and sandbox systems
  • Work with proof-of-concept partners on data access, integration, and analysis of results
  • Convert proof-of-concept findings into product architecture and scaling decisions
  • Take ownership of technical investment planning and proof-of-concept readiness
  • Communicate complex technology clearly to non-technical investors, partners, and customers
  • Lead the technical content of pitch decks, data rooms, and due diligence processes
  • Establish credibility with scientific and technology organizations across APAC

  • Several years of engineering, architecture, or technical leadership experience in applied deep tech, AI, or quantum computing
  • Demonstrated ability to build and run practical systems, including proof-of-concepts, MVPs, or near-production prototypes
  • Experience in a startup, scale-up, or venture environment is strongly preferred
  • A strong entrepreneurial drive is essential
  • Deep knowledge of quantum-inspired or quantum algorithms, such as QUBO formulations, VQC, or QSVM
  • Hands-on experience with applied machine learning, statistical modeling, or quantitative optimization, including model development and deployment
  • Ability to judge technical feasibility and separate current capabilities from near-term and research-stage possibilities
  • Experience designing system architectures and scalable technical solutions
  • Knowledge of intellectual property strategy, patent principles, and freedom-to-operate assessment
  • Commitment to building and technically leading a company over the long term
  • Analytical approach combined with a practical focus on implementation
  • Ability to combine scientific rigor with entrepreneurial realities
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Sufficient personal financial independence to go at least 12 months without a venture salary; this is a strict requirement
  • Willingness to make a personal financial investment in the venture
  • Fluency in English
  • Currently living in Singapore or willing to relocate there on an ad hoc basis

Benefits

  • Work alongside an in-house team experienced in electronic payments, venture creation, quantum physics, and communications from the outset
  • Direct access to leading card networks, processors, issuers, and major banks
  • Bridge funding for Phase 1
  • Legal, human resources, and governance infrastructure
  • Support for intellectual property strategy
  • Fundraising structure and guidance
