Telco Cloud Consultant - Italy Remote
Advise telecom customers and partners across Italy and Spain on adopting Red Hat OpenShift, OpenStack, and open-source cloud solutions. Provide architectural guidance, deployment support, and technical consulting.
Description
- Advise telecom service providers, network equipment manufacturers, and system integrator partners on adopting Red Hat solutions
- Deliver high-quality consulting services while expanding expertise in Red Hat cloud technologies
- Support applications that use containerized and virtual network functions (CNFs and VNFs)
- Build knowledge of customer infrastructures, with emphasis on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, and related Red Hat cloud technologies
- Recommend solutions suited to each customer’s environment
- Act as a subject matter expert at customer locations
- Address customers’ technical, development, and strategic IT requirements
- Evaluate and apply emerging technologies to customer challenges
- Contribute to multiple projects across industries and engagement types
- Keep stakeholders informed about issues that may affect project or company performance
- Oversee problem definition, system architecture, software specifications, design, testing, and deployment for open-source solutions
- Prepare written project documentation for Red Hat and customer management teams
- Adjust delivery plans and solutions as customer requirements evolve
Requirements
- Previous experience in consulting or a comparable role
- Experience delivering enterprise-wide deployments
- Advanced proficiency with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Advanced proficiency with Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat OpenStack Platform
- Experience working with the telecommunications industry and its customers is advantageous
- Proven ability to communicate project value, progress, and metrics to stakeholders and varied audiences
- Excellent written and spoken Italian and English
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and planning abilities
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification or willingness to obtain it within 90 days
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%
