Tech DevOps Engineer in Madrid (Hybrid)

Operate and automate Telefónica Tech’s cybersecurity platforms, supporting infrastructure, deployments, monitoring, and incident response across Linux and cloud environments.

Description

  • Support the operation, automation, and continuous improvement of cybersecurity platforms.
  • Provision and maintain infrastructure and supporting tools.
  • Configure and administer systems and services.
  • Investigate and resolve incidents across multiple environments.
  • Join the on-call rotation and respond to availability incidents.
  • Design and maintain alerts and monitoring mechanisms.
  • Automate and improve operational processes.
  • Optimize deployment cycles and workflows.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot incidents affecting production services.
  • Help plan infrastructure growth and test high-availability and disaster-recovery capabilities.
  • Keep the asset inventory accurate and up to date.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and operating procedures.

Requirements

  • At least two years of professional experience.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, including basic administration and configuration.
  • Experience using version control tools such as Bitbucket and Git.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools including Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and Helm.
  • Experience with automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
  • Experience working with network infrastructure.
  • Vocational training, a university degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification.
  • Education related to software development, telecommunications, or a comparable field.
  • Advanced or native Spanish proficiency.
  • Intermediate English proficiency at B2 level.
  • Cloud service administration certifications, including AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, are valued.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes is valued.
  • Knowledge of VMware administration and cloud services such as AWS and Google Cloud is valued.
  • Familiarity with task management tools such as JIRA, Redmine, and Trello is valued.
