Description

  • Design, develop, and deploy enhancements to systems
  • Perform unit and system integration testing
  • Contribute to proof-of-concept projects for emerging technologies and document the results
  • Create and maintain processes that help prevent operational issues
  • Support problem investigation and timely incident resolution
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define and develop detailed requirements
  • Document deployment plans and code releases
  • Make recommendations supported by comprehensive usability analysis
  • Answer business and user questions about business applications
  • Troubleshoot applications and identify defect root causes and resolutions
  • Use suitable tools to test and debug software, improving quality and reducing defects
  • Review code produced by peers
  • Apply SDLC and project management practices to development work
  • Use secure coding practices to help prevent common vulnerabilities
  • Keep current with relevant technologies, TD services, applications, infrastructure, analytical tools, and techniques
  • Develop a portal for internal and external clients with interactive front-office strategy research
  • Work collaboratively within an agile engineering team

Requirements

  • Be in the penultimate year of a Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or related program
  • Be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program
  • Be available for a six-month internship from January through July 2027
  • Have unrestricted permission to work in Ireland for the full internship period
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bring a collaborative working style and a bias toward action
  • Show the ability to investigate emerging technologies
  • Work effectively across teams and regions in a fast-paced environment while delivering accurate results under time pressure
  • Demonstrate strong coding, debugging, and problem-solving abilities
  • Have experience coding and debugging in Python
  • Have experience with Pytest testing
  • Be familiar with source code management tools such as Git
  • Previous experience with databases, SQL, RDBMS platforms, API design, gRPC, FastAPI, cloud technologies, or microservices architectures is an asset
