Tax Manager - Dallas, Hybrid

Lead tax engagements for Brady Martz in a hybrid Dallas role, reviewing business and individual returns, advising clients, and overseeing tax accounting work. Train associates, manage client relationships, and support tax planning and research.

Description

  • Lead engagements independently or under Senior Manager supervision based on client needs
  • Collaborate with firm teams and clients to deliver high-quality tax services
  • Train and direct Senior Associates and Associates, review their work, provide feedback, and oversee revisions
  • Review mid- and high-level business tax and individual income tax returns
  • Advise clients across a broad range of tax services
  • Apply professional judgment and analysis to recommend year-end and general tax planning strategies
  • Oversee complex tax research assignments
  • Manage tax accounting projects within established deadlines
  • Share performance and engagement feedback with Senior Managers and Shareholders
  • Contribute to business development activities
  • Collaborate with colleagues on tax accounting engagements
  • Monitor client needs and manage ongoing relationships
  • Act as a primary client contact for day-to-day accounting matters
  • Review and oversee Associate and Senior Associate work while providing training and mentorship
  • Use cloud-based platforms and tax software
  • Prepare client billings for completed services

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Business is required; an Accounting degree is preferred
  • At least five years of accounting experience, including staff management; public accounting experience is preferred
  • CPA or CMA certification is preferred
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and GAAS
  • Strong technical and software skills
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative team orientation
  • Innovative and analytical approach to problem-solving
