Staff Cloud Engineer, Cloud Platform - Canada Remote

Lead secure, automated cloud platform engineering at Kinaxis, supporting AI-powered supply-chain orchestration. Advance CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and self-service delivery across Kubernetes, Terraform, and multi-cloud environments.

Description

  • Act as a trusted technical lead on complex cloud engineering challenges
  • Promote DevOps practices and collaboration across the Cloud Platform Engineering Team
  • Create and improve cloud reference architectures while advising teams on implementation
  • Shape technical and architectural decisions
  • Optimize CI/CD pipelines
  • Engineer secure, performant, resilient, and efficient cloud infrastructure
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to simplify delivery workflows and improve services
  • Enable seamless developer experiences through self-service and modern engineering practices
  • Mentor junior team members and promote industry best practices
  • Lead code and design reviews to maintain high-quality deliverables
  • Track emerging cloud technologies and industry trends
  • Operate a cloud platform for self-service deployments, CI/CD, Terraform, and Kubernetes delivery through ArgoCD

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Advanced expertise with at least one major cloud provider
  • Five to seven years of progressively complex experience in cloud engineering positions
  • Experience in a global, high-technology environment involving one or more enterprise-grade software applications is preferred
  • Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms through both consoles and APIs, preferably GCP
  • Background automating cloud applications, infrastructure, storage, platforms, and data services
  • Software development experience using Go, Python, and/or Shell/Bash
  • Strong systems design knowledge, including operational and reliability trade-offs
  • Practical experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum
  • Experience using GCP, Azure, or AWS
  • Experience with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, HCP Vault, JFrog Artifactory, Datadog, Prometheus, or ELK
