Lead financial institutions credit analysis across EMEA for S&P Global Ratings. Shape research, regulatory engagement, rating consistency, and analyst development.

Description

  • Act as the lead analytical spokesperson and partner for Continental Europe’s financial institutions.
  • Present analysis on banking, non-bank financials, decentralized finance, and neobanks.
  • Research European banking trends and systemic risk.
  • Chair the regional Analytical Oversight Credit Committee.
  • Set strategic portfolio review plans and annual analytical priorities.
  • Coach and mentor analysts.
  • Share best practices across sectors, regions, and asset classes to support global analytical consistency.
  • Use data, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled tools to lead forward-looking sector analysis.
  • Turn sector and issuer developments into actionable insights for internal and external audiences.
  • Represent S&P Global Ratings in discussions with stakeholders.
  • Work with Methodology teams and take part in global forums.
  • Link sector developments to emerging risk themes and prepare insights for monitoring, research, and rating committee discussions.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in credit analysis, financial research, or analytical leadership in financial services.
  • Able to turn complex financial and market developments into concise, evidence-based narratives.
  • Able to discuss complex analytical topics clearly and rigorously with investors, regulators, and management teams.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring analytical teams.
  • A record of developing sector expertise, credit judgment, and modern analytical capabilities.
  • Fluent English is required.
  • Fluency in the primary language of the country of application—German, French, Italian, Spanish, or Swedish—is required.
  • Experience using AI-enabled analytical tools and data-driven research methods in credit analysis or financial research is preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
  • A master’s degree or professional qualification such as the CFA is highly valued.
