Description

  • Understand the existing codebase, specifications, READMEs, and migration history before changing systems
  • Investigate and resolve production issues, particularly API synchronizations affected by vendor changes
  • Audit AI-generated pull requests line by line, then test, question, and refine the implementation
  • Develop CI/CD, automated testing, and monitoring that expose failures early and prevent silent errors
  • Strengthen database security, access controls, and secrets management
  • Deliver features, integrations, data pipelines, and reports

Requirements

  • At least five years of professional software engineering experience, including recent production work with TypeScript
  • Strong PostgreSQL experience covering schema design, migrations, views, SQL and PL/pgSQL functions, row-level security, indexes, and query-plan analysis
  • Full-stack TypeScript capability with Node.js, React, and Next.js, preferably using the App Router and strict typing
  • Experience integrating REST and JSON APIs, including authentication, pagination, rate limits, retries, idempotent synchronization, and schema changes
  • Proficiency with Git and GitHub, including branching, pull requests, code review, and GitHub Actions
  • Experience with unit, integration, and database testing, plus logging, monitoring, and root-cause analysis for incidents
  • Daily experience using Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or comparable AI coding agents on a real codebase, with disciplined review of generated work
  • Comfort working with financial data, including decimal and cents calculations, reconciliation, and audit trails
  • Working knowledge of least-privilege access, secrets management, authentication, and personal-data protection
  • Experience with Supabase, Vercel, AWS Lambda, S3, SQS, SFTP, Secrets Manager, Terraform, ELT pipelines, data modeling, data-quality checks, dashboards, LLM agents with tool use, MCP servers, or the Anthropic API
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Graph, or background-job frameworks such as Inngest
