Software Architect (Hybrid, Israel)

AudioCodes is hiring a Software Architect in Israel to shape scalable, AI-enabled contact center and enterprise communications solutions. The role spans Azure, microservices, cloud-native systems, real-time voice, and architectural leadership.

Description

  • Own the system architecture and technical roadmap
  • Make architectural decisions that support scalability, reliability, security, and performance
  • Set engineering standards, development practices, and design principles across teams
  • Provide technical direction and mentorship throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Work with product, engineering, QA, security, operations, and other stakeholders
  • Convert business and product requirements into scalable technical designs
  • Contribute directly to architecture and system design reviews, code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
  • Lead cloud-native and DevOps work covering deployment, monitoring, and operational excellence
  • Encourage AI-assisted development practices to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery speed
  • Oversee solution implementation across the development lifecycle

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • At least five years of experience in software architecture, system design, or senior technical leadership
  • Demonstrated success designing complex, large-scale software systems
  • Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, cloud-native applications, and SaaS platforms
  • Experience architecting scalable services, APIs, integrations, and communication between distributed components
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or another leading public cloud platform
  • Strong software engineering expertise, including participation in technical design, architecture reviews, and complex problem-solving
  • Thorough understanding of scalability, reliability, availability, security, performance, and maintainability
  • Practical experience using AI tools for software development, prototyping, and research
  • Experience incorporating AI-powered services into software products
  • Ability to explain architectural decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
  • Experience with Node.js, C#, or comparable modern backend technologies
  • Experience with Kubernetes and containerized cloud environments
  • Familiarity with Generative AI, large language models, Speech-to-Text, Text-to-Speech, or Conversational AI platforms
  • Knowledge of SIP, VoIP, telephony, or real-time communications systems
  • Experience with Contact Center, Unified Communications, Customer Experience, or Microsoft Teams solutions
  • Experience with multi-tenant enterprise SaaS platforms
