Site Reliability Engineer (India, Remote)

Maintain Kubernetes-based infrastructure for Charger Logistics, strengthening reliability, observability, automation and incident response across round-the-clock logistics operations.

Description

  • Keep production systems reliable, scalable and highly available
  • Set and monitor service indicators, objectives and error budgets for critical services
  • Improve monitoring, alerting, logging and tracing with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Jaeger and OpenTelemetry
  • Operate and tune Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads
  • Automate recurring operational tasks with Python, Go or Bash
  • Build and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Helm
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines for safe, frequent releases, including blue-green and canary deployments
  • Join the on-call rotation, lead incident response, troubleshoot production issues and conduct blameless post-incident reviews
  • Work with the development team to monitor and tune PostgreSQL performance, backups and availability
  • Plan capacity, test resilience and help lower cloud costs
  • Coordinate with development, DevOps and QA teams in Canada

Requirements

  • Bring 6–8 years of experience in SRE, DevOps or production infrastructure roles
  • Have strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production
  • Have experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Have practical experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Loki or Jaeger
  • Use Terraform, Helm or similar tools for infrastructure as code
  • Have scripting or programming skills in Python, Go or Bash
  • Know Linux and networking fundamentals, including DNS, load balancing, TCP/IP and TLS
  • Have experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or Azure DevOps
  • Understand microservices and distributed systems
  • Have handled production incidents and prepared root-cause analyses
  • Service mesh experience with Istio, Consul or Linkerd is a plus
  • PostgreSQL administration and performance tuning experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with .NET Core applications in production is a plus
  • Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ or other messaging systems is a plus
  • CKA, CKAD or AWS/Azure DevOps Engineer certifications are a plus
  • Experience in logistics, transportation or another round-the-clock operations environment is an advantage
