Site Reliability Engineer II (India, Remote)
Site Reliability Engineer II responsible for strengthening infrastructure, deployment automation, monitoring, and reliability across MRSOOL’s MENA delivery platform. Supports scalable systems and continuous 24/7 application availability.
Description
- Partner with development teams to build and operate scalable infrastructure
- Create and maintain automated deployment and testing pipelines
- Build and manage monitoring and alerting systems
- Investigate and escalate production incidents to reduce downtime and improve service reliability
- Advance infrastructure and operational processes for greater scale and efficiency
- Take ownership of on-call rotations to support applications around the clock
- Carry out routine infrastructure maintenance and upgrades
- Strengthen security controls and support compliance with industry standards
- Explain technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Guide and develop junior engineers through mentoring and coaching
- Track developments in site reliability engineering and share relevant knowledge
- Recommend organizational improvements and alternative approaches to strengthen team structure and execution
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related discipline
- At least five years of experience in a comparable role, ideally supporting high-traffic, highly available systems
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Python, Ruby, Java, or Go
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure and technologies such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues and solve problems effectively
- Hands-on experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting platforms including Prometheus, Grafana, or Nagios
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work through ambiguity, establish clear expectations, and perform effectively in a fast-moving environment
- Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including distributed systems and networking
- Experience or familiarity with operating, tuning, and optimizing databases and queries
- Previous leadership or senior-level experience in site reliability engineering
- Familiarity with backend technologies and frameworks
- Experience influencing technical decisions and delivering organizational change
