Shipping Operations Executive – São Paulo

Coordinate shipping schedules, cargo movement, and port operations for Pacific International Lines in São Paulo. Resolve operational issues and improve logistics processes across carriers, partners, customs authorities, and internal teams.

Description

  • Coordinate shipping schedules and cargo movement with carriers, partners, and customs authorities
  • Resolve delays, discrepancies, damaged-goods issues, and other operational problems
  • Evaluate the performance of operational partners and service providers
  • Maintain accurate records of ship calls, costs, and operational activities
  • Work with internal teams to improve processes and operational efficiency
  • Oversee daily logistics operations and coordination among stakeholders

Requirements

  • Degree in foreign trade, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
  • At least three years of experience in shipping and port operations, including boarding clerk, operations assistant or executive, cargo flow, or related roles
  • Demonstrable experience in logistics, shipping, supply chain, or related industries
  • Ability to understand complex processes, define problems, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situations
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, local practices, and customs applicable to ports within the assigned jurisdiction
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and practices
  • Proficiency with logistics management software
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational challenges
  • Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment
  • Brazilian nationality or current legal authorization to work in Brazil
