Senior Web Engineer at Caesars Entertainment (Hybrid, New Jersey)

Lead frontend engineering for scalable, high-performance web applications supporting Caesars Digital’s gaming platforms. Drive performance improvements, guide technical initiatives, and mentor engineers.

Description

  • Lead technical initiatives that improve stability and performance, reduce technical debt, or introduce solutions within the domain.
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and cross-functional engineering teams to refine features and deliver intuitive user experiences.
  • Build applications that are performant, scalable, and aligned with web development best practices.
  • Produce clean, reusable, testable code grounded in design patterns and sound architectural principles.
  • Track developments in web technologies, tools, and frameworks and apply relevant advances.
  • Review code, offer constructive feedback, and participate in technical discussions.
  • Improve application performance and solve complex technical problems.
  • Take part in agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Mentor junior engineers, share expertise, and promote technical excellence.

Requirements

  • At least 5–6 years of web development experience, with a strong frontend focus.
  • Experience with Web Native App runtimes such as Capacitor or Cordova.
  • Experience delivering and maintaining large-scale applications across multiple teams.
  • Experience working with a micro-frontend application stack.
  • Advanced React.js proficiency and a deep understanding of its core principles.
  • Expertise in modern JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and CSS frameworks such as Tailwind or Sass.
  • Experience using state management libraries such as Redux or Context API.
  • Familiarity with Webpack, Vite, or Rollup, as well as CI/CD pipelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with RESTful APIs and WebSocket integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of responsive design, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to high-quality solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional team settings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
