Senior Web Developer (Remote, Colorado)

Build and maintain geospatial web applications for ASRC Agile Decision Sciences. Work remotely with ArcGIS JavaScript interfaces and MS SQL Server ETL workflows.

Description

  • Build, improve, and maintain front-end geospatial web applications with Vanilla JavaScript.
  • Develop and tailor mapping features with the ArcGIS JavaScript API 4.x.
  • Partner with backend developers, analysts, and GIS specialists to connect spatial data and services.
  • Diagnose and improve front-end performance, usability, and map-rendering behavior.
  • Support MS SQL Server ETL workflows by maintaining and updating existing data pipelines as needed.
  • Contribute to code reviews, architecture discussions, and sound software development practices.
  • Create technical documentation for applications, workflows, and data processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
  • At least four years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proven ability to write clean, modular, well-structured JavaScript.
  • Experience designing Vanilla JavaScript applications without relying on heavy frameworks.
  • Practical experience building geospatial applications with the ArcGIS JavaScript API 4.x.
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server ETL workflows, including maintaining and modifying established processes.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Effective problem-solving ability and careful attention to detail.
  • Experience using version control systems such as Git.
  • Knowledge of modern web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, Webpack, and Node.js.
