Senior Software Test and Verification Engineer – Boeing, El Segundo Onsite

Lead automated verification, formal acceptance testing, and compliance for Boeing satellite-ground software. Support defense and commercial ground-system software delivery.

Description

  • Support verification development and review test cases and procedures
  • Conduct informal and formal test readiness reviews
  • Lead the software test team in formal software requirements verification
  • Lead factory acceptance testing, maintain execution logs, and prepare daily reports
  • Record test issues and problem reports in change-control tools
  • Present issue burnup charts and verification status during program management reviews
  • Track outstanding issues through closure to meet delivery commitments
  • Analyze internal and customer problem reports and coordinate ground mission software activities
  • Work with flight software, satellite simulation, ground systems engineering, and ground software leads
  • Release software lifecycle documentation in accordance with Boeing processes
  • Lead compliance with software development and verification processes for audits
  • Develop software verification lifecycle documentation
  • Support change control board activities for software verification
  • Plan verification deliverables, including verification plans, requirement deviations, requirements, and test reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • U.S. citizenship for the U.S. security clearance
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance, with interim clearance before starting and final clearance afterward
  • At least five years of software development lifecycle experience, including requirements analysis, design, coding, integration, and testing
  • At least three years of experience developing test execution scripts and using test automation tools
  • At least three years of software development experience with Java, C++, or Python
  • Experience with Agile software development and DevOps methodologies
  • U.S. Person status for export control compliance

  • Completion of a technical assessment during selection
  • Ability to work fully onsite in El Segundo or Seal Beach, California
